R-Series is the original Lightspeed Retail POS. X-Series is the newer product (formerly Vend). If you log into a URL ending in .retail.lightspeed.app, you're on R-Series. If your URL ends in .lightspeedhq.com or .vendhq.com, you're on X-Series.
